    The Missouri Bar Foundation provides for the printing costs of the Senior Citizens Handbook, a guide to aid senior citizens in understanding their legal rights and responsibilities.

    Fund for Justice Education

    Keith A. Birkes served as Executive Director of The Missouri Bar for 27 years before retiring in 2012. His legacy continues with the Keith A. Birkes Fund for Justice Education. This new fund will support efforts by Missouri lawyers to educate Missouri citizens about their justice system.

January 18, 2013 - The Missouri Bar Foundation is seeking nominations for the 2012 Lon O. Hocker Awards, presented annually to three young lawyers -- one each from St. Louis, Kansas City and outstate Missouri -- who have demonstrated exceptional proficiency in trial advocacy. December 19, 2012 – The Missouri Bar Citizenship Education Program, with support from The Missouri Bar Foundation, has announced an upcoming Civility Conference. This one-time event will be held July 15-17, 2013, at Columbia College and will feature nationally known experts on digital citizenship and civil conversations. Click here to learn more.

December 19, 2012 – Scholars with ties to past presidents will be featured at The Missouri Bar Citizenship Education Program’s 2013 Summer Institute. This program for Missouri secondary education teachers will focus on Article II – The Presidency. The event, with support from The Missouri Bar Foundation, will be held in Columbia from June 24-27.
